What do you wear when you go to tune?

I'll admit to being pretty casual... Jeans and a button shirt - in cooler weather, I do have a sport coat that I wear. But in cold weather, the "poofy" warm coat comes out! I'm a fanatic about removing my shoes at the door. It's become such a habit that I find myself kicking off my shoes onstage for tunings if the theater is empty!

Anyone remember this movie?

Love it - The Baker Boys - Filmed in PJ's stomping grounds.

You know, this is how my wife sings when I play Cole Porter!

But of course I put a blanket on the Grotrian before she mounts it. Wouldn't want to scratch the surface. She does like to wear her studs when she does this.

this is more a piano-shaped object. It's an antique desk.

Hey! - I'm back from a family excursion to the Wisconsin Dells - the land of Cheese...

How about some cheesecake?

Here's a picture of the inside of the piano from the Wisconsin union theater. It's been in use since 1993. The tradition of having artists sign the plate was started with earlier instruments and continues today.

I didn't see the movie, but I heard the Dave Grusin Original Soundtrack CD. Is that when she sings that "hotter than hot" Making Whoopie ? (Btw she's a pretty good singer for a movie star)

It's looking like the temperature is going to be a muggy 94 F. today. It makes me want to be in a place where this piano could survive...
