pedal lyres on uprights... what a pain! Usually the kneeboard just pops out - held in place by a spring or two. These cause a whole nuther layer to pull apart to get to the inside. I think the one I see is a Cable console.

Wow, I had no idea. I've always liked the look, but never even thought about the kneeboard. You'd think that they'd make a two piece kneeboard in this case.

The screws at the top of the one I service were no problem, but the bottom has two brackets that attach under the piano. Teeeny nuts and bolts, no clearance - adds more than a few minutes if I want to go chasing after that mute that fell behind the action!!
