I haven't a clue...

Well, that's not quite true - extra pedals like that usually controlled drums, triangles, mandolin curtains, etc, etc. But usually on uprights, its kinda hard to put that kind of stuff on a grand. Hopefully, someone with more knowledge than I can enlighten us.

Look at the side of the piano next to the treble. It curves around the keyboard. I've never seen that before. Really very pretty and graceful. Quite a remarkable piano.

The curve is also one the other side of the keyboard, and you can also see it in the lid. Another interesting this is the position of the bridge on the soundboard. Right in the middle. And what is that box like object on the straight inside of the case. A very odd piano. I want it.

Or maybe thats not the bridge. Maybe it's some sort of effect. Also the wood is gorgeous and the carved legs are outstanding.
