Horo WJE168 How about a gift for Xmas
Looking a bit like a miniature grand piano being played with a violin bow, the Horo WJE168 flies in the face of conventional thinking on turntable design.
The Horo WJE168 is built to special order for each customer, with prices starting at around 33,000 Euros (about $41,000).

Perhaps I'd best start saving up for one. I'm in dire need of a turntable.

Well, there is currently flooding in Australia, news reports say, the size of Germany and France combined, the temperature is very warm and the humidity is high! But I could not find any pianos connected with this latest deluge.
A water-damaged piano sits on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry House on Thursday, May 13, 2010 in Nashville, Tenn. The Opry House was heavily damaged from recent flooding.

One Missing Linke, One Playing Linke
One potential furniture highlight of the high summer sales, or so Bonhams had hoped, was a magnificent armoire by the most famous ébéniste of the Belle Époque period, François Linke

A couple from Steve's thread on Detroit in ruins:

I posted a couple of photos of this piano on the bottom earlier in this thread. It looks like it's been moved:

Disklavier
"This is a piano that I had in my possession for awhile. I decided I would like for others to see the internal operation of the Disklavier as well as allow more sound to come forth, hence the music rack design. I used shelf material, aluminum 1/2" bar? and Dampp-Chaser plastic clamps to mount it."
