If that's not the same piano it's another just like it. Same grisly gold "antique" finish, same legs.

Thanks for posting it!

I just read through all 135 pages. What fun. I love strange pianos. This one was my favorite.
Does anyone know anything about this piano?

I was also surprised to find my piano.
I just bought from an old man in Guadalajara. I haven't even seen it in person yet. This is what it looks like right now.

Liberace at Chopin Piano - This hand-painted Pleyel concert grand piano was made in Paris in the early 1800's. It is believed Chopin played this piano at Versailles Palace.

That first one looks like it could be something from Phantom of the Opera, or related to the Wardrobe in Disney's Beauty & the Beast . Yikes.

You've got a beautiful piano on its way! Enjoy. and welcome.

Welcome to WTF, Greeb. I just read about your piano at Piano World. I had the pleasure of visiting that Smithsonian piano last spring.

Its my understanding that it was given to one of the Napoleons by Queen Victoria and that its shape was inspired by the shape of his hat.

My wife took one look at it and told me "BUY IT!". I wish I could, its one of my all time favorites too!

(I hope we don't get told off for this not being about pianos!)

I'd like to know what that object is to the right of the piano.

It looks like a square on its side.
