We are nearly finished! Here is the piano assembled with the lid missing, and our custom, handmade music desk in the second photo.

OT - I take it a woodgrain finish would have been very cost prohibitive given the condition?

PHOENIX 212, Regal Classical)
These pianos incorpoate the now well-established bridge agraffe system, carbon fibre soundboards and carbon fibre composite action.
A PIANO OF EXTRAORDINARY PROVENANCE AND QUALITY: This is a piano of unique provenance because it was selected to be played at the reception given by the Queen to Foreign Royalty, Heads of State, and Ambassadors, on the occasion of the marriage of her grandson Prince William to Catherine Middleton.

The Chickering is finished, sitting in the owner's home, freshly tuned.

I have so many old piano pics to share from the European trip but need to spend some time cropping them.

I can't wait to share.

Several museums of old instruments were toured. Way, way, way, too much overload.

But while there, how could one resist visiting?

I left some to take pics and view other exhibits but have enough photos to last the season!

Will share.

I just loaded up some pics on PW of the first musical instrument museum in Germany and will see if I can just paste some images here. If that doesn't work, I'll post a few at a time.

"I am sure that others will have better pictures coming but since this was a piano tour, we must see some historical musical instruments, right? And THAT we did! A few musuem's worth! It was just amazing to see so many old pianos, clavichords, christofori's, harpsichords, virginals, organs and mechanical instruments. Phew!

Here are some from just one museum.
Now, which one was it? Musical Instruments Museum, where?

I'll have to load up a few times.

A partial line up:

Nope, copying did not work. I'll have to do them from photobucket.

Tons more piano pics were posted on the OFF KEY Section. Still have some more single pics once I get the daily sections finished. Will add them here.
