Strictly speaking, this wasn't today, it was last Thursday.

Today I saw strange and wonderful art created out of old stuff by a guy by the name of Adam Watts:

Our new kitty! She's a Korat, just like our "old man" cat. She doesn't sit still much, and is still hiding in the basement a lot. There's been some hissing....

Poor little thing looks scared to death. Hope she finds her new home welcoming soon. I remember the first 2days and finding places to hide... She's a cutie! My gray kitty was more Russian Blue.
Beautiful fur. And your Korats?

My black kitty stuck her head in the back of the stove on her first day home 31 years ago. Took 4 burly firefighters to rescue her. True story.

Meanwhile in the present, it appears to be fall in my little town:

Our "old man" cat is back on page 2 of this thread - neither is show quality; little bits of white hair mar the total grey coat. The little one is strutting around the basement as long as upstairs is quiet. Really social cats, usually comfortable with bunches of people coming over.

He is beautiful too.

So what are their 'furs' like? I was so surprised at the feeling of my Am Shorthair. Thick thick thick and short so although smooth you can also feel the ends more. Must take more photos.

His is super thick now - hers is sleek and much thinner. Almost like he's got an undercoat layer... she follows me around the basement now right between my feet. She did venture up the stairs for a quick survey, but then scooted back down. He'll be 16 soon and has turned into a lap cat, though I do remember him being a study in motion years ago when the 2 dogs were here... somewhere there's video of sitting up on hind legs batting at the Portie who loved to tease and play.
