I left the photo dark intentionally because that was literally what it looked like as the front rolled through.

LL, the post in the middle has my bird feeders on it. I've had various trees and shrubs in that round bed, but decided it was the ideal place for the feeders. I can see it from my kitchen windows (both work and eating areas), there are no nearby branches for the squirrels to use to access the feeders, and the shells from the bird seed are easy to clean up from the bare ground underneath.

The big tube on the post is a raccoon/squirrel baffle. Works like a charm.

I'm doing a cleanup today and will take some *after* pics of the yard.

This was glued to the side of a 1922 Kimball grand... Always fun seeing a little history - this guy charged $3; upright or grand!

I actually saw this yesterday, but forgot to post it here. (I posted on jon's birthday thread.) Tonight's sunset was not impressive, it was gray and overcast. But last night we saw a deep pumpkin colored crescent moon slip below the horizon, in the dark. It was gorgeous. No camera for that kind of pic with me, just my iPhone.

AdagioM, that photo is perfect! NO camera needed!

Today in the supermarket parking lot. I hope it's a joke.

Today I saw this nice little arts/crafts arch over a sidewalk at the Anaheim City Hall.

I also saw this clever castellated curb designed to allow storm water to flow in to the planter where it can replenish the aquifer:

This picture is fine; it's the orange crescent moon slipping into the ocean that required a camera with a time exposure. Alas, no camera on this trip.
