Yea, it was posted a few pages back - but I sure don't get tired of looking at it. That's what a piano SHOULD look like!

I love your sign-off life, Jamie. It's very moving.

That cottage organ brought back some memories - I used to play one of those (not M&H) when I was a kid. I think it taught me legato actually. The stops always fascinated me: vox humanum, diapason, celesta are ones I particularly remember.

Hah! You want a workout? Mine still has the original 1921 rubber hoses and rubberized cloth - air leaks galore.

Very mission-ish.

The piano that wouldn't die!

...They told me the piano first came to Winfield in 1999. After the fashion of the Stillwater Camp, the plan was to burn the piano at the end of the festival. However, the heavy rain the last night of the festival protected the piano from a fiery demise. They then carted the piano home and stored it until the next year. In 2000, a serious drought affected the Winfield area, and a total fire ban was threatened. Eventually authorities agreed to allow fires only if contained in a fire ring. Pianos don't fit in fire rings, so it was spared again. Having shown a will to live, the piano has been given a reprieve and is carted to the Pecan Grove annually. It is also given a fresh psychedelic paint job each year and has now become a standard feature of the south end of the Pecan Grove.
