Grand Piano “Emperor”

Only one copy has been made.

In 1869 the Austrian Emperor presented a grand piano to the Japanese Emperor. Several years later the grand piano was destroyed by fire in the Emperor’s palace Tenno, but the sketches of the piano were saved and were used to create the grand piano "Emperor" - the exact copy of the gift. The grand piano is decorated with intricate curves and gilded details made by hand just to create the Emperor's style of XIX.
