One Missing Linke, One Playing Linke
One potential furniture highlight of the high summer sales, or so Bonhams had hoped, was a magnificent armoire by the most famous ébéniste of the Belle Époque period, François Linke

Linke Piano (c. 1890 France)

A Fantastic Late 19th Century Gilt Bronze Mounted Louis XV Style 6 Legged Grand Erard Piano. By François Linke.

François Linke was born in Pankraz in Bohemia and was celebrated by the French as one of the greatest ébénistes of meubles de style at the turn of the century. He began his apprenticeship with a Bohemian master at the age of thirteen. Four years later, he toured Austria, settling and working in Vienna for two years. By 1875 he had arrived in Paris, where he seems to have been associated with Zwiener.

More fascinating backstory and pics:

I posted a couple of photos of this piano on the bottom earlier in this thread. It looks like it's been moved:

One of the more intriging pianos that I recall from previous posts is this corner piano and I wish very much that someone could post more details about it; the Piano Museum, which is finished on Gulangyu in January, 2000, is located in "Tingtao Pavilion"
of Shuzhuang Garden.
Read the interesting backstory here:

Disklavier
"This is a piano that I had in my possession for awhile. I decided I would like for others to see the internal operation of the Disklavier as well as allow more sound to come forth, hence the music rack design. I used shelf material, aluminum 1/2" bar? and Dampp-Chaser plastic clamps to mount it."

K. Kawai Grand w/Steinbuhler Keyboard
"Some of you might already be aware of this extraordinary keyboard. However, it was a first for me. I was alerted by a current customer as to the sale of this piano in a store where I live, so I had to go and see first hand. Very remarkable and professional design to say the least."

Birdcage Piano
"My friend put an old "Birdcage Piano" in his front yard. "Birdcage" refers to the way the strings are mounted inside."
