I would go with a variation of this one, but rotate the piano a little counter clockwise so the bench points around 9:30 rather than 10:30ish?

Thanks Ron, that’s the placement I’m going to try first. Although I might start with the rug horizontal to see what it looks like.

After the long weekend I’m going to call the movers and ask them to plan for time to experiment. Hopefully they’ll be flexible.

I'm wanting to move my piano about 6" from its current placement. The piano is sitting on carpeting and the wheels are in cups - so moving it will need to occur when I have a few linebackers at the house - i.e. probably never.
