A couple of local arborist companies. The chippers have been going almost non-stop since early Tuesday morning.

This little guy was maybe 1/8 inch across. And it was breezy outside. It was hard to get him in focus.

Playing around with the 105 mm Micro Nikkor. I don't grow groundcover... I grow HO scale shrubbery. Wonder why it's called Wooly Thyme!

And a few for BeeLady... Coming and going... The grass is greener in the other pasture, but is the nectar sweeter on the other flower? The bumblebees have been going crazy on the lavender this year.

This is kinda like my posture at work. I need to photoshop a little computer in front of him.

Thx. I won't tell you how many shots I took to get a half a dozen worth sharing. For the love of Eastman, I don't know how anyone did this with film.

Nice shots. Is that the fully-manual 105mm f2.8 with an aperture ring? How do you find the lens? BTW, a few months I bought a new Nikkor-micro 105mm f2.8 with VR and the fancy silent motor and it broke after a couple weeks. Regular price is almost a grand but was on sale for $700 so I thought I'd give it a go. Returned it for a refund. Made in China. I love my 30-year old one, which is think is the same design as yours. I don't mind having to focus. You pretty much always focus manually for macro work anyway. Yeah, developing film was crazy-expensive, and unless you had a polaroid back you never got instant feedback for optimizing the focus/light/aperture/SS. | |||
