I watched him standing on the balcony posing for a video after he got back to the WH. Of course he took his mask off for the video op. He didn't look like he normally does. He was open-mouth breathing at times, his face squinting with effort, and was occasionally swaying as he stood there. His face was flushed; he wasn't wearing his usual makeup. This is Weekend at Bernie's. Or as Jim Acosta said, "this was a Covita moment, not Evita"

Dr Ashton on ABC this morning talked about non-compliant patients and Trump's removal of his mask upon his return to the WH. As she said, it's one thing when they exhibit behaviors which may harm themselves, but quite another when they do things that endanger others. She was totally diplomatic but you could tell she was pissed as hell with his behavior.

The balcony thing. Sheesh. All he needs is some gold braids, epaulets, some fake medals, mirrored sunglasses, and a saber. One of his supporters even called it his "Mussolini moment", and meant it was a compliment. Dexamethasone has well-documented cognitive side effects including delirium and extreme anger. Where's the football?

Ok, at first when he was announced as positive, I was just trying to be neutral and hope he got better (and truly, it's probably for the best if he doesn't die in office right now....) But now, reading all the sh*t he's spewing about how covid is like the flu, not to be scared of it etc... Now I actively hope he gets really, really ill. And preferrably has to go on a ventilator. First of all, it would teach him a lesson. And second, it would help to counter (at least a little bit) the harmful messaging that he's doing, which (if unchecked) will lead to more dangerous behavior among his supporters, who will spread the disease around among people without access to the kind of health care that Trump has. He is such an cruel, selfish, ignorant person.

I think it has been well-established that NOTHING can teach him a lesson. Nor his supporters. If he dies, his supporters will spend the next decade spewing one conspiracy theory after another about how the libs poisoned him, tampered with his drugs, whatever. He will be their martyr. St. Donald.
