One report i read said that Melania was the only one in I-1's retinue who kept her mask on through the whole debate.

But, let's remember that unless it's an N95 respirator or better, the purpose of wearing a face mask is to keep the wearer from spreading the virus, especially if one does not know that one is infected.

Well... a level 1 surgical mask blocks 95% of viral particles, while a level 3 blocks 98%. Even cloth masks without a filter can get to the mid 80s% protection.

One of my pet peeves is this idea that masks do little to protect the wearer!

What would be the best outcome for the country?
Long prosecutions after January 21, 2021 would be more turmoil and probably deaths.
Maybe if 45 slipped away quietly his troops would have no one alive to blame.

The latest I've seen is that masks can help with respect to contracting the disease. Not as much as it helps those around you, but more than zero.

My benevolent employer sent every employee a package with two masks and a thermometer. I gave them to DD. I don’t like the behind-the-ears kind. I made a bunch with ties.

Still... the point is, if EVERYONE wears one, that’s what will significantly reduce airborne spread.
