Gettin' kinda personal there, aren't you? Do you let just anyone count your octaves?!

I've never seen a reporducing grand with manual pedals before.

This one is a Rönisch "Tri-Phonola" art case, don't know the year.

I saw that listed on a UK website. It's a 4'2" Challen.

My question is, "Why bother?"

Looks to me that this one may not be a full keyboard? Looks narrow to me - but maybe its the setting....
I've seen this guy at most of the arts festivals in Seattle. I never thought the piano looked like a mini... but next time I see him, I'll count his octaves. He may have more than one. It does look narrow compared to the player.

He frequently leaves the piano unattended at festivals. I've been tempted to sit down and bash out a few tunes, but haven't gotten up the nerve. There's no sign on it that says "don't play this piano." On the other hand, it's the guy's personal instrument. You wouldn't just pick up someone else's saxophone and start playing, now, would you?

BTW, note the angle of the hill... this isn't even a very steep hill for Seattle. I hope he's got good brakes on those casters.

Looks kinda like one of my old buddies from the 70's. Big Grin

Hey Chick - I posted your piano about 15 or 20 pages back, but I guess you're ignoring me.

I have to admit, as a Belly Dancer, that I find Liberace's costumes very attractive and interesting. Oh to be sure, he wore way too much and they didn't look very comfortable, but shiny, sparkely things draw anyone involved in my dance form.

I even have an affinity for his candelabra, but I balance mine on my head while dancing (traditional Egyptian Wedding dance, the "Zeffa"), not just set it on the piano!

I've seen your belly dancing costumes. I find them much more tasteful than Lib's get-ups, but to each his own. Smiler

No, I'm not ignoring you. And I *did* see the piano about 15 pages back, the day you posted it. I've seen and heard that piano myself. It has a particularly nice sound. Actually, if I could have only two pianos, that model would be the other one, a point I've made online many times. I've looked at several of that model (an amazing number of them survive). One of these days I'll "just do it".
