for several reasons, any one of which all by itself would have been a deal-breaker--my health, my dog's health, our financial health, and work commitments--i cannot make the reunion. i'm really sorry, especially since i was the original instigator.

i know you'll all have a terrific time, and i especially regret the lost opportunity to meet big john, rach on!, the als, the lisas, and ftp, none of whom i've ever had the pleasure of meeting.

i also am sorry to miss the opportunity to visit cunningham's.

but i know all of the above will happen one of these days.

Well, that was my plan!

I know it's odd for me to commit at such a late date, but I figured it was better for me to wait until there was absolutely no question that I could make it, rather than backing out at seemingly the last minute and "disappointing" people. (Yes, the quotes are intentional.... )

It will be a fun road trip let me tell you. For those who don't know, Rach On! is the guy who tentatively tapped me on the shoulder on the first day of school in Music Theory I (seems so long ago now) and shyly asked "are you the piano trucker from piano world?" We've been best buds ever since.

Well it looks like a party! We may not have the quantity we hoped for, but we certainly have the quality!

I think the numbers are perfect. You are having some extra people and it should be great. Might I suggest a non-alcoholic icebreaker like having a pile of old hats at the door and everyone has to wear one? That's always a conversation starter. Or maybe not. LOL.



We're looking forward to it from this end but we will only be there Saturday. We come in Friday eve and leave Sunday am.
