So much for blue no matter who.

If he can’t keep his staff on the reservation how much hope do we have for his supporters?

Well, there is a school of thought that Bernie Sanders wanted to loose the nomination. I don't know enough about it to say.

I can say that Joe Biden is a very, very flawed candidate, IMHO.

Of course he is.

But he’s our candidate. She needs to pick a side, Biden or Trump.

Those are the choices. A flawed candidate (whether you add the adjectives or not), or a hellspawn.

Unless, of course, you are a believer in false equivalence.

This. I do not like Biden. At all.

I will vote for him in November.

And I also have decided, for example, not to talk very much about my dislike of Biden. Present company excluded.

And this is why I'm not a Sanders fan. He talks out of both sides of his mouth. He's suspended his campaign, but will let this and similar commentary, from his own staff, go on without comment.

I listened to him on NPR last Friday night. The question was, "will you commit to working as hard if not harder for Biden as you did for Hillary"? He refused to answer the question, instead got all defensive about how hard he worked for Hillary. "OK, so given that you worked so hard for Hillary, will you work that hard for Biden's campaign"? Crickets.

The fact that he lets this stuff go on without strong condemnation is tacit endorsement.

He's also keeping his name on all the ballots (except presumably the presidential election itself) so he can continue to "shape the debate," e.g., throw rocks at Biden's more centrist views, which encourages his more rabid followers to continue this.

Repeat after me ...

Bernie ... is ... not ... a ... Democrat.

Neither are many/most of his supporters. His supporters often are unaffiliated with any organized party, and often are disaffected non- or infrequent voters.

Bernie endorsed Joe today. Wonder if he realized the damage his campaign spokesperson was doing.

And on a related note...

Ahem... "Bernie is not a Democrat". How'd I do?

He is not a (big D) Democrat. He is a Democratic Socialist. Which, by the way, is not a Socialist.

And his supporters? They are blinkered fanatics. I think most of them won't vote for Trump; they simply won't vote, which could hand Trump a couple of so-called swing states.

I will say again, I loved Bernie when he was on the radio on Thom Hartmann's program. His ideas were smart, sensible, and he explained them in clear terms. But his strategy as a candidate is abhorrent.

WHY has there been no apparent reaction to this horrifying breaking of ranks in the war against Trump? It came from someone who would seem to be representing Biden's rival's POV. (And therefore guiding Sander's supporters away from Biden.)

Is it possible she really WAS speaking on her own initiative without its being vetted by Sanders?

Ms. Gray may have taken it upon herself to tweet without checking in with Bernie. But... as his campaign manager, I assume he has bestowed upon her the right and privilege to speak on his behalf. And the tweet in the OP is clearly talking about what Bernie did or did not say... not Ms. Gray's personal opinion or perspective. So, it looks (ahem) obvious that this is official communication from the campaign.

Ugh.

But again (with this possible explanation gone) WHY no public response?

(Or is it just a matter of the echo chamber I inhabit, and the RW media HAS played it up? Or at the very least the Russian bot programmers?)
