Today I got a commanding view of the Borrego Springs area, taken halfway down a 10 mile stretch of winding 8% grade:

And a cool RV Park where you can rent their vintage RV's like hotel rooms:

My chorus teacher from 1977-1978.

And the symphony. They played Shastakovich Symphony #6. She told me she had last played it herself in 1945--when it was still new!

Another...driving alone, pouring rain...with no passenger, I was not able to get a photo myself.

But the lighted traffic signs that got some publicity here recently (Use Ya Blinkah)..had a new message today along side the highway.

The first one I saw was in the city of Worcester, a black sheep of a city compared to Boston.

It was hard enough to see through the rain, but then through misty eyes..The sign read..

"Thank you, Thomas Menino". Yes

I had to Google Thomas Menino to learn who he was. Sounds like a good guy. Mayors are close enough to the people to be people themselves.
