Today I saw a tiny car:  Triumph GT-6. Makes the white Camry behind it look like a Buick Electra.

Today I saw - light fixture! Sample roadway fixture for a condo complex. LED (natch!), and very handsome as well, IMHO. If they like it there's a chance we will be installing 85 more.

OK, not this morning (as snow looks like snow, looks like snow) but this past weekend and yesterday) Good Harbor Beach with the twin lights in the background  Rockport Harbor  Motif #1  and the best part... yesterday, these swans on the beach beside a fresh waterflow on the left

Had a wonderful overnight stay at the historic Starved Rock lodge - easy trip from home. We weren't about to let some cold and snow keep us from walking in the state park!

 Our first major snowfall in several years. Nothing like you've had on the East Coast, but pretty. I hope to ski the neighborhood tomorrow.

You live in a beautiful area, Jon. I really enjoyed the fall vacation in the area 2 years ago. Have you visited the mansions there yet? I think I shared pics here of those we saw. Not just the huge ones, but the smaller estates, we found more interesting. Right on the water.
