Thought I'd start a fresh version of a recipe thread from last year.

It's winter. It's cold outside. I'm craving comfort food, not healthy stuff.

Winter food! This is a favorite of ours, Tangy Braised Chickpeas from Smitten Kitchen. Carrots, portobello mushrooms, chickpeas.

Use less vinegar and work up to your taste level.

We had it again last night, yum.

Wow, that looks fabulous. Will try it very soon.

I bought some of this a few weeks ago, and I can use it in the recipe!

Better Than Bouillon Mushroom Base

All the better than bouillons are pretty good, IMO.

Best Chicken Marsala recipe I have found. It takes longer but well worth it. I use a sweet Marsala, myself. I think it makes a better sauce.

Sharon made this for dinner tonight. Apparently it’s very popular on Tik Tok.

Very different- of the most unusual dishes I’ve ever tried. I really liked it!

I’ve been making a very nice tofu-in-sauce thing from the NYT, and it really tastes authentic. It’s not actually a stir fry; you make it in a skillet. Glazed tofu with star anise.

Oh, here it is. I don’t know if it is behind a paywall, sorry.

Glazed Tofu
