I know a lot of forum regulars like ebony pianos - but I'm a sucker for beautiful woodgrain myself. This is a "Sapphire Steinway":

I'm a sucker for beautiful woodgrain myself. I have a stack of beautiful bubinga boards in the garage I haven't yet made into anything because they're so beautiful I just can't commit. If I don't soon, they'd just as well become my coffin. That sapphire S&S is absolutely beautiful.

Okay. That one's just plain ugly. Looks like one of those fat-calved women crammed into shoes four sizes too small. Or Popeye after eating his spinach.

Actually, my first thought was it looks like one of those made up creatures my husband is always "killing" in his favorite computer game. I don't remember the name of it but flying eyeballs feature prominently. This could be the PianoBeast or CannibalClavier or something. I like the remark about the fat calved women in size 4 shoes. Yes, that too. What were they thinking?

Isn't my style either. Perhaps a "BUP"? Butt Ugly Piano? It certainly has an obese air to it!
