New Baby: Yes, there's a new resident here at the treehouse: a Wurlitzer baby grand piano. Except when you're playing with it, it's pretty quiet and I'm hoping I won't have to be getting up every few hours for those middle-of-the-night tunings I've always heard about. http://www.trygve.com/blog_2005_12.html

'Moving experience' for grand piano But yesterday, as its new owners watched in trepidation, a crane hoisted a 345kg, $200,000 Steinway 37m into the air to deliver it to 17-year-old pianist Naoki Toyomura. http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/n...=1&objectid=10716727

Grand Piano Extravaganza The 24 "books" of the ILIAD were assigned to 12 pianists. Each artist participating to the project had chosen two "books" and composed music inspired by them. http://www.andrew-roussak.com/...ctions-us/index.html

On first looking into Chapman’s Homer (Standing Bull)’ and Darian’s Peak, (Resting Bull) New Zealand's 2011 Exhibition at the 2011 Venice Biennale by Michael Parekowhai The work includes one intricately-carved Steinway concert grand piano and two concert grands fabricated in bronze supporting two cast bronze bulls. On one piano a full-size bull rests on the closed lid with its massive body suggesting the folding forms of landscape. On the other piano the bull is standing firm offering an eye-to-eye challenge for anyone prepared to take a seat at the keyboard. The overall title for the project is based on the poem ‘On First Looking into Chapman’s Homer’ by the nineteenth-century English Romantic poet John Keats. In this Keats describes a Spanish adventurer climbing to the top of a hill in what is now Panama and looking out over the Pacific to survey its potential riches for the first time. http://www.nzatvenice.com/2011-venice-project http://www.roslynoxley9.com.au...ael_Parekowhai/1287/
