This was posted at PW, I thought some of you might enjoy it. Crazy!!

I've been on some pretty hairy piano deliveries - uprights and grands on circular staircases, etc, but nothing like that. Don't they have a door?

I might add my dad paid us a whopping $2.50 apiece per delivery.

I worked for a music school for a while and we moved pianos all the time - but it was a lot easier as they were typically just moving between studios. Still, I got good at breaking them down. I later had regular movers move a modest Steinway M - and they struggled with it as they clearly hadn't done it before.

Hell, sometimes it was below minimum wage. Even for the 70's.
