NinaMueller's (one and only) statement
The only advantage I can see for an impeachment hearing is the hearing itself, and the opportunity to let all this stuff out into the open. But I think people are too entrenched. If they haven't figured out the damage that Trump is doing (never mind criminal activity), then a big hearing won't help things.

Especially since Republicans on the panel would push in the opposite direction.

Impeachment is just a huge battle that will not result in conviction by the Senate. Best to keep all the individual investigations going in the house (keep him busy slapping at flies), and work on electing someone else in 2020.
I do fear there’s another four years of this coming, though.
Also, the media’s “squirrel!” mentality means that Mueller’s statement is no longer front and center. Russia. Interfered. With. Our. Election. But no, now we’re talking about hiding a warship, which doesn’t really matter.
Russia. Interfered. With. Our. Election.

And a majority of American voters are cool with that.

wtgThe believers aren't reading the report; they're just listening to the spin.
What the Mueller report actually said.
