The town, Portageville, Missouri, where the article was written is where I was reared. I swam and water skied in the river. It was where people went when on a Sunday drive.
Grain cannot be sold at the local shipping point because the barge traffic is seriously slowed.
Prices are down because of this, according to reports. WTF?
