wtgThe DAK catalog
Talk about a blast from the past...Drew Alan Kaplan, sort of the electronics intersection of J Peterman and Ron Popeil...

RealPlayerThat was fun. Interesting to see how dated that stuff looks now!
I used to get bike catalogs: Bike Nashbar, Performance Bicycle, etc. Lots of shiny objects. But bike technology changed only slowly, the biggest changes being steel components yielding to aluminum, new frame materials, index shifting, and a few others. But the bicycle is inherently so efficient that the basic function and appearance didn't change that much over time...until, say, the mountain bike came along.

wtgI looked at the Hammacher Schlemmer website, which also features stuff that people want but don't need.
How about one of these for Christmas?
