When I first moved up here my GP said, "of course you're taking Vitamin D supplements," and I said I'd never heard of such a thing. He asked where I had moved from - "Arizona" - "Oh, OK."

Apparently lack of sunlight isn't as big a deal in Phoenix. I take a multivitamin (old lady geezer variety) and additional Vit D and calcium.
