Yes. Kirkland’s Ancient Mariner or whatever they call it. Also D3 and B complex every two or three days.

The research seems to be mixed at best, but I still take a handful every morning!

That corroborates my experience. My orthopedic surgeon suggested taking a multivitamin. My PCP said I didn't need one. I do take specific vitamin and mineral supplements (vitamin B12, magnesium, iron) based on results of blood tests. Big Al

What to do? One of the first questions asked at the Shaw cancer clinic in Edwards is "Do you take vitamins?" If yes, they tell you to stop. I know nothing of the research. People I knew that were enthusiastic about the vitamins are dead from cancer as well as the pharmacist that was making them. The people I knew that were enthusiastic about vitamins and supplements are dead. I don't take much and only take those occasionally.

I take a multivitamin because magnesium helps me sleep and I usually have low iron so I figured that would do both at the same time. I still have low iron but iron supplements really bother my stomach.

I used to take a multi, can't remember why I stopped. I currently take a magnesium supplement twice a day, as per neurologist's recommendation... don't know if it's helping but the new migraine meds I'm on sure do!!

Al, You might be very interested to know that my sports medicine doc urged me to drink a cup of beef bone broth every night before and after knee replacement surgery. He says it really helps your bones heal well.

I know I am low on B12 and have been supplementing that for years (it’s a consequence of being vegetarian, and I once had weird nerve symptoms because I wasn’t getting enough). Lately I learned my vitamin D is very low, so now I am taking D3 as well.

Nearly everyone I know has to supplement Vitamin D. I have to take it as well. I wonder why? Has the recommended level changed or is it something else?

Like so many things, it’s complicated. https://www.hsph.harvard.edu/n...ionsource/vitamin-d/ https://www.health.harvard.edu...-create-health-risks

My assumption on vitamin D is that we spend, in general, less time outside but also that we (as a society) don’t consume milk in the same quantities we used to. But that has just been my assumption.
