jon-nycA must admit there are a couple of names on there that surprised me, people I thought might comfortably slide into the role of inquisitor.

Jennifer Finney Boylan.

jodiI don’t quite understand why you would sign something that seems like a reasonable opinion to you and then want to cancel when you see who else signed it. But I don’t feel like I understand enough these days.

kluurs"While I'm against bombing orphanages, I did not realize that Noam Chomsky and Gloria Steinem shared this view. I never would have signed this letter had I known of their participation in this endeavor."

"You're seeing half of it. The other half is a stream of cowardly letters from left academics and activists who don't want to be identified because of the toxic abuse they would receive if their friends saw them stray one iota from the outraged group orthodoxy, ... and tenure would probably be out the window, by the way."
