For the last three days I've been craving a cup of hot chocolate. Probably a result of our recent sudden temperature drop. It's not a beverage I drink very often even though I love chocolate; it's been years since I've had a cup. I looked up a recipe and made it.

Oh. My. Absolutely delicious.

I used Trader Joe's 72% cocoa chocolate chips. And whole milk...it was rich enough and I don't think it needs the cream or half and half.

I’ve only made hot chocolate from scratch once. I used the recipe in the 1958 Betty Crocker cookbook and it was absolutely delicious.

The full stick of butter you dropped in at the end certainly had something to do with that. Eeker
