No, actual I think it makes a lot of sense! And I agree, now that I hear the resemblance, I really hear it!

He's a classically trained pianist (and apparently writes orchestral scores because he does movie compositions etc.), and he has a piece that's like a ... response to? take off on? Fur Elise, so it wouldn't surprise me if this resemblance were intentional.
