Just getting interested in this. Apparently it can vary from rather strange to very good. I advise trying it at a restaurant with a knowledgeable sommelier. That's what we did, and he poured us a nice one.

I heard it was white wine fermented on the skins. But perhaps using naturally occurring yeasts, yielding unusual flavors. Not sure, still learning. The one we tried did have some mild bubbles.
