Ruca-the-geriatric-Labradoodle passed this morning at 9:45AM. She had a stroke last night and it was obvious it was time to put her down.
Still, it was hard. She was 18, blind, deaf, and confused but she never missed a meal. I can’t help thinking about how she was just a few years ago - a ball-retrieving machine. She used to wake me up at dawn by dropping tennis balls on my head.
Farewell, Ruca. You had a great run.

Sorry to hear that Steve. You guys gave her a wonderful place to spend her last few years.
RIP Ruca. Say hi to Maggie and Lucy for me.
