jon-nycDiagnosis is pattern recognition. AI is better at that than we are. The reason radiologists get replaced first is just because the inputs are standardized and machine readable.

jon-nycThe ironic thing is much or most of what physicians do will be under threat from AI whereas most of nursing won’t.

NinaI've had AI-assisted mammograms for years. From what I understand, they can quickly and accurately detect a "clean" mammogram, leaving the humans to look at scans that are questionable. They're supposedly also very good at detecting early stage cancers. I think it's a great advancement, personally--at least the way it's being used with mammograms.
