Microfiber cloths
Can you still buy cotton cleaning cloths? People used to use old shirts made into rags, but modern cotton fabrics are treated to be stain resistant, etc. so they aren’t very absorbent and don’t behave like untreated cotton.

you can buy bags of shop rags at most places that sell automotive supplies.

Sharon ordered a pack of “Swedish Dishcloths.” Apparently they’re the rage on the internet. They arrived yesterday.

I really like them! Lint free but still absorbent, made of cellulose and cotton, no plastics. Streak free on counters. Washable and they don’t get stained like cotton dishcloths.
