Does anyone know if pianos are subject to Trump tariffs?

Where will these factories go? Are we about to blanketed with opinions as to the quality of pianos manufactured in Tibet? Or perhaps Cameroon?

(For the record, I’ll pay extra for a piano made in Botswana.)

They're not going anywhere. They'll just have a slightly higher price tag.

BTW, Tibet is part of China for US tax purposes.

Lisa, Yes

Steve, as to your original question, I can't imagine why pianos wouldn't be subject to tariffs if new ones are being imposed.

I hate to think of pianos, or just instruments, becoming more expensive, this would probably impact digital pianos, guitars etc. And playing music is already an activity with a lot of barriers for beginners, so the thought of instruments becoming more expensive makes me sad.

ThumbsUp But they'd need to be seasoned for destination, because Elbonia is occasionally flooded.

Aren't the tariffs something like 50% after Christmas?
