For some time, I've been wondering about the impact of being able to capture events on film, and now on digital media, has on our lives in general. I know a lot of people who treasure photographs and videos and who go back to look at them and reminisce and relive past events. As I've gotten older I find that I have pretty mixed feelings about all those photos and that I rarely go back to them. But I control everything and can decide for myself what to do (or not do) with them. But as technology has moved on, that control is slipping out of our hands....
