wtgBirx on Face the Nation
Like I've said before, I'll never forgive the Trump administration for their handling of the pandemic. Shameful.

big alMy wife brought that interview to my attention.
It's hard not to jump out of the way and leave the baby on the tracks. I admire what she did in a now-win position.

wtgJust to clarify....My criticism of the administration was directed at the stupid ones who got in the way of the people who should have been calling the shots.
I completely agree that Birx did the best she could. There was no way she could fix the stupid at the helm, and she did the science as best she could considering the circumstances.

NinaIt does point to the standard dilemma: is creating change more likely to happen from the inside or the outside?
I think there are valid arguments for both views. There's no way anyone is coming out of Trump's administration with their reputation intact.... people are just too angry.
But America does love a comeback story.
