Always nice to have a neighbor with a tractor. Wink

Where did the debris go? Did the town pick up?

I should post a photo of that too! We have two huge piles in front along the road that our house faces and one slightly smaller pile along the other road. The city will pick it up, eventually.

The neighbor with the tractor took the trunk (after cutting it into three sections). That saved us a bunch of money because the city won’t pick up branches/wood bigger than 8” diameter, and the trunk was easily 20” diameter!!

You may find that your garden is completely different, a sun garden instead of a shade garden.

We took down an ailing tree, and the sedate shade garden went crazy in the sun and the Japanese anemone tried to take over. Still digging it out, years later...

This side of the house (where the tree was) faces East. There are still a lot of shade trees around though, we’ll see how it evolves.
