Meanwhile the children's mother who saved the baby by throwing him off the balcony to the arms of the former linebacker, perished when she went back in in an attempt to save her other child.

All those involved in the rescues report themselves bonded for life, including the children's father who was at work during the fire.

Sports train the mind and body to do things like this. In Europe, soccer players make rescues like this too.
