You can play some of the daily NYT games without a subscription, you just can’t play them all, or go as far in the game.

Interesting it wasn’t when I did it today but it was very very early. 3 or 4 maybe.

If you think looting is bad wait until I tell you about civil forfeiture.

Still up.

The beauty of being an empty-nester with mostly flexible work hours is that I can stay up when I feel like it or get up early when I feel like it, without having to to worry about dealing with a toddler or a surly teenager.

It rocks. Smiler

So, now that NYT owns it, are they going to go after all of the copycats?

I refreshed the page on my phone, and it went to NYTimes. I didn’t refresh the page on my iPad, and it’s still playing from the old site. We’ll see if the change to tomorrow’s date makes it change on my iPad, too, but it didn’t this morning.

Still came up the old version. Didn’t refresh yet.

Can I brag about my Spanish wordle? Got it in two. Lucky with my first guess which placed first and last letter.

Mine says NYT today.

Coincidentally (?), today's "word" seems slangier than previous words. I'm sure it's in the dictionary, but part of the joy of Wordle has been nearly getting stumped and thinking, "It must be some really esoteric word that I don't know," and having it turn out to be "moist" or "ulcer."

I don't think the NYT loves us and wants us to be happy.

(Lest you think that I'm just bellyaching because I didn't do well, I did get it in three. I just object to the word itself.)

I couldn't get it to open on my iPad (it comes up with an empty page). Googling only found me the link I've always used, but the page doesn't load. (I'm a NYT subscriber as well, though that shouldn't matter).

What link are y'all using?

I clicked on the old link and it automatically redirects me to the NYT link. On my PC, Windows 10.

Yeah, I can get it to come up on my laptop, just not on my iPad. I'll try again. I prefer not to play games on my laptop because I prefer to do my laptop-procrastinating by posting on WTF.
