Good news today: I got my first match for this summer. He's native American according to the documents I received. How exciting. It didn't happen last year due to scheduling conflicts. I was all set to have one of the boys who'd previously been here, but then I had to change the dates I was available and as it turns out he was to start a job just before then. So I'm happy it's happening this year.

I have to stay my first thought was..What did I miss from Terry Gross?  I am so happy that you are doing this again this year..Just one boy this year? Do you keep in touch with those lovely boys from the past? They were amazing and I often think of them and how their goals change as they get older....

So happy you're doing this again, Bernard. Lucky him, lucky you. Is he another inner city kid? Somehow amidst all the hardships of Native kids, I havent considered they lost out by not getting to enjoy Nature.
