It's funny because it's true!!

P.S. that would be me: "not really into abstract art"

Also my grandmother: "geriatric italian" and my mother "has a new yorker subscription and somehow reads it."

CHASI have the espresso machine. Bob has the subscription. I read the cartoons.

Oddly enough, my only friend with an espresso machine is a native Manhattan-zian, with a New Yorker subscription, which I assume she reads. I know her husband does.
I had an old bf with the Italian style whatever you call it. He would undoubtedly now qualify as a "geriatric Italian." As would I (at least the geriatric part...).

RealPlayerHa, saw this via Facebook last night. I am the guy with the cone filter sitting on a cup. And yes, I get the New Yorker and do read it.
How did they know?

Mary AnnaMuffin and her SO may or may not believe that vinyl is always better, but they own and play vinyl versions of albums I enjoyed at that age and have since owned in three other formats. And that's the coffee apparatus he got her for Christmas.

AdagioMWhere’s the one for “lies in bed under a cat, and husband brings coffee every morning”?
Oh, he’s not into abstract art. Nailed that part, at least!

Piano*DadI guess I have a New Yorker subscription that I don't read ...

Well, at one time I had a subscription, and then over time I read it less and less, until I just dropped it entirely.

jon-nycApple made me coffee once at her house. Grounds and water together in a regular pan, heated on the stove, poured gently to minimize the amount of grounds in my cup. Very old school.

I saw that in a movie once.
What does it say about one if he or she has stopped drinking coffee?

My mom made coffee like that. I think it also had an egg in it to "settle the grounds".
[edit] Yup - I remembered right.
