"This truth — this fact — is enshrined through our stories, through our bodies, and through our natural relatives. So why is it that Indigenous findings and voices continue to be ignored, even when they are proved correct?"

I realize this is a rhetorical question but colonialism, imperialism, and empire come to mind.

I've come to the conclusion most people don't care about facts much less truth.

On a more positive note, I've had many experiences meeting and becoming friends with indigenous people.

I feel lucky about this and treasure these memories.
