It never fails to amaze me that now we live in a surveillance society these shootings never seem to be prevented.
The police chief in Las Vegas when about fifty people were shot became the police chief (and coroner) in Maui when Lahaina's residents were caught in a death trap, not allowed to leave via both ends of the belt road and the bypass, and were turned back into the fire to be incinerated.

It’s over and we are all ok, thankfully.
A friend of my wife’s daughter’s boyfriend is among those killed at the bowling alley. Apparently he charged the shooter to protect a group of children.
