About 78% of people who were hospitalized, placed on a ventilator or died from COVID-19 were overweight or obese, a new report from the CDC shows.
General statistics on weight in the US from the CDC website :
quote:
Percent of adults aged 20 and over with overweight, including obesity: 73.6% (2017-2018)
And then there's the other bit from the Axios piece:
quote:
Patients under 65 who were underweight had a 41% higher risk for hospitalization than those with a healthy weight.
Dunno what to make of all this.
