I rented a car in France a year ago that was a Toyota Auris (Corolla) wagon hybrid. It was great! Held three adults and five suitcases easily. It got like 52 MPG going from Paris to Orleans and back plus three days of driving around Orleans.

Unfortunately, you can get the wagon here, you can get the hybrid here, but you can’t get the hybrid wagon here. I’d buy one in a heartbeat.
