Hopefully, there’s enough stories out there like this that people will believe me when I say it’s an “accident”...

Or maybe it's the answer to your previous question:

3 1/2 month update. Well, apparently they’re not gonna replace me in “two months at most”… At least they’re starting to interview people now.

On the other hand, if I wasn’t working, I could theoretically go outside where the air is currently approximately 95% smoke from the local fires. Maybe staying indoors in the air-conditioning and getting paid for another few weeks is OK.

Also, on the plus side, in the 3 1/2 months that I’ve been back at work I have literally not worn a pair of long pants yet.

But I’m definitely ready for a re-retirement…

I feel you. Especially when one of the younger associates asks for help on something at 10:30 at night.

OK, now I’m at five months and this is going way too slowly. They are interviewing candidates, as recently as last week, but I think maybe they’re being too picky or not willing to pay for the jobs worth.

So, since I’m still here, I will be attending the annual sexual-harassment training via zoom tomorrow.

I have an idea that might speed up their decision making process…

Pro tip: At the beginning of the session, ask if ‘harass’ is one word or two.

You’ll be out by lunchtime.

Or, ask whether they have any tips on the right way to do sexual harassment.

I did ask myself, how the heck am I supposed to harass anybody when there’s not another employee within 400 miles of me? Like almost everything else I thought during this session, I kept it to myself…

Chances of me not stealing this line, and passing it off as my own at some later date = zero.
