His positive test was a total fake.

Apparently, you can buy fake positive or negative test results.

As for me, I will hope Nadal wins the Australian Open this weekend. That would be the ultimate punishment for Djokovic.

Right. The plan was to fake a positive test shortly before the tournament so that he could say he could not be vaccinated per Australian immigration law.

The problem with that plan was that it was ludicrous from the start. Here he is, the number one player in the world, and there is a vaccine mandate to get into Australia. Yet for months he won’t tell anyone whether he is vaccinated or whether he is going to play.

Then he just happened to catch a case of Convenient Covid right before the tournament?

People didn’t believe that was likely, so they started sniffing around. And now there’s a reason to think the test was a fake. If they can prove it, the International Tennis Federation should suspend him.
